Most of Condominiums and Private Apartments come with good finishing, and usually have car park space, 24hrs security surveillance, intercom systems and sometimes even home automation systems. They start from as small as 450 square feet to as large as 8,000 square feet.

The types of units in private apartments and condominiums are

Strata Title is a form of ownership devised for multi-level apartment blocks, which have apartments at different levels or “strata”.

Strata Title Schemes are composed of lots and common property. Lots are either apartments, garages or storerooms etc and are shown on the title as being owned by the Lot Owners. Common Property is defined as everything else on the parcel of land that is not comprised in any lot, such as common stairwells, driveways, roofs and gardens etc.

Landed Properties
Residential units with individual ground contact. Types of landed properties:
Bungalow / Detached House -A landed house standing on its own without sharing any common wall or roofing.
Linked House - One of a pair landed houses joined by a common wall separating the car porches of the 2 houses. This common wall is the side wall of the car porches.
Semi Detached -One of a pair landed houses joined by a common wall rising from ground to roof level. This common wall is the side wall of the rooms of the 2 house.
Terrace House - A landed house in a row of not less than 3 houses. Being in between 2 houses, it has 2 common walls.
Corner Terrace House - Tha landed house at the end of a row of terrace houses that normally has a larger land area compared to the other terrace house.
Cul-De-Sac House - A landed house at the end of a large turnaround dead-end road.
Town House - One in a row of not less than 3 residential units having ground contact and common ownership of the land.
Cluster Housing - a hybrid between conventional landed housing and condominium housing. All units have ground contact but with shared facilities similar to those found in condominiums. Cluster housing therefore have Strata Titles.

Leasehold is a form of property tenure where one party buys the right to occupy land or a building for a given length of time. Until the end of the lease period (often measured in decades - a 99 year lease is quite common) the leaseholder has the right to remain in occupation. Leasehold properties can be bought and sold on the open market.

Freehold is the right in a property to hold it with a perpetual right. In freehold right there is no limit of time to hold the property like in case of leasehold. Also known as “Fee simple” ownership.

My new training stomach program.

A few month ago, I focused on burning my belly fat by practicing sit up 200 times (100 times using sit up bench with 4 sets of 25 reps (repetitions) and 100 times using sit up equipment).

I always do a cardio when start workout. I start running with 85% of my maximum heart rate for 20 minutes. I practice 3 times in a week and I’m losing 3 kg in the next 2 months.

Now I’m living in a new place which has the limitation equipment. But still need to do some work out to keep the shape. And I’m thinking of new training method which is, stomach crunch and reverse crunch. The stomach crunch works for your lower stomach (or should I say “lower abs”),

How to do it?

  1. Lie down on the floor with your legs bent, your feet flat on the floor. If you prefer, you can keep your legs bent at a 90 degree angle so that the bottom of your feet are vertical.
  2. Place your hands on the back of your head, or if you prefer, cross them over your chest.
  3. Lift your shoulder blades off the ground, moving your elbows towards your knees. Don’t try to lift your whole back - just your shoulder blades.
  4. Squeeze your abs for a second.
  5. Slowly return to the starting position.
  6. Repeat steps 3 - 5 until you’ve completed the desired number of reps.

The Reverse Crunches. How to do it?

  1. The reverse crunches works for your lower abs.
  2. Lie down on the floor with your legs in the air and bent slightly with your ankles crossed.
  3. Place your arms on the floor beside you, with your palms to the floor.
  4. Keeping your back straight, slowly raise your hips off the ground.
  5. Hold for about 2 - 3 seconds, squeezing your abs muscles. Make sure your back is straight and your head is on the floor.
  6. Slowly return to the starting position.
  7. Repeat steps 3 - 5 until you’ve completed the desired number of reps.

I will try to start for 4 sets of 25 reps (repetitions). I hope to see good results in a few weeks.

Garmin Mobile PC

Windows XP is the OS that we used here.

Before start anything else, you need this tool which is called GPSCtrl.exe to activate or deactivate your built in GPS. This tool can be obtain freely from here

Garmin’s software needs some specific hardware device, which is, Garmin GPS, to used. To overcome this limitation, we will harness the power of Franson GPSGate. The problem is, Garmin Mobile PC (GMPC) is not able to recognize the ‘virtual com port’ created by GPSGate. Again we will try to solve this problem with the use of com0com free utility.

Impatient way

  1. Prepare all the software mentioned above.
  2. Extract GPSCtrl to C:\Tools folder
  3. Install com0com. After installation, this utility will automatically add 2 virtual com ports, CNCA0 and CNCB0. Rename the port to any com number with setup (GUI interface). For me, I rename it into COM25 for CNCA0 and COM26 for CNCB0
  4. Install GPSGate, cancelled the setup wizard if it appear
  5. Activate the GPS with gpsOn.bat from the gpsCtrl utility
  6. Run GpsGate.
  7. At the input tab, choose COM2 (This should be the default port your internal GPS connected to). Click Run. If nothing wrong, you should see “Running OK!” and “GPS data is coming in.” Also at the system tray, you’ll see the icon’s color is yellow.
  8. At the output tab add “COM Port” (NOT VIRTUAL or GARMIN emulated), and assigned to COM25 (was CNCA0).
  9. Reboot the computer.
  10. Activate GPS, run GpsGate then install and run GMPC
  11. Stop the auto detection of GPS from Settings > System > Remote GPS > Disable
  12. Choose serial port aka COM26 (was CNCB0) and click Enable
  13. Your Garmin should be able to get connected to GPS for now.

So, the flow is like the diagram below

INTERNAL GPS -> GpsGate -> COM25 (CNCA0) -> COM26 (CNCB0) -> GMPC

GpsGate => to emulate Garmin GPS to run with Garmin software

com0com => NULL COM Port emulator
